Hi, I was wondering how you decided to oil the machine... I have the same problem, I don't know where on the top left to oil, as my machine doesn't match the manual and I can't see any obvious places... I realise you wrote this blog a while back, so you may not even be using this machine anymore, but in case you can help, thanks in advance!!
I have had my Cub 7 since mid 1970's - it has never given me any problems - it has sat in its case for about 10 years now. Just used it and it behaved perfectly.
I was gifted a Frister and Rossman from an elderly friend, it was his mother's (how lucky am I right). As new condition. Truly beautiful. I can't find a lot of information on her. 370 mk II. What I am finding is she is probably a Cub 7. Everything looks the same in pics except the brand label across the top front, only has Frister and Rossman with no star to the left and no Cub 7 on the right. Would you know if that is because it was sold in Australia. Unfortunately the retailer has removed original front cover from the "check book" and replaced it with a very generic cover from the shop. When I mention this brand here, I just get a blank stare. I also think brand was sold as Globe at one point in Oz. Really like to know her true pedigree and would be greatful for any insight.
